Our Perspective
Spotlight: Setting SMART goals in 2016
Who can believe it is 2016? In four years, we will be able to say "Welcome to 2020" and what an inspiration that number is to reflect on goals for the future. With Augusta County companies' high activity and a new County administration staff, we SMARTly look to the future with the following in mind:
Specific Meaningful Action-Oriented Realistic Timely
We have used these guidelines to set goals for ourselves in the following areas: business attraction, business retention and expansion, and entrepreneurial support. Look for the following in the next year:
- Major expansion announcements
- Continued existing company visits
- New regional agricultural event and tourism initiative
- Economic Development and Tourism website improvements
- Visits with site selectors to discuss the region
- Continued work with the Shenandoah Valley Partnership as we market the region. Click here for SVP's latest video!
Stay warm this weekend, and cheers to a prosperous 2016!
