Spotlight: Good Things in Augusta County

Augusta County is celebrating a great summer 2015! Just this Tuesday, Edgewell Personal Care of St. Louis, Missouri announced the sale of its Personna Industrial Division (formerly American Safety Razor) of Verona, Virginia to an investment group with deep roots and history in the industry. The sale of the Verona facility has saved 150 jobs in Augusta County.
The new company will be called AccuTec Blades, Inc. AccuTec Blades, Inc. manufactures a wide variety of specialty, medical and professional blades for use in categories including histology, food processing, fiberglass manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, dermatology, glass processing, and more. of oatmeal crème pies, fudge rounds and brownies made in Augusta County.

Best Scenic Autumn Drive
Place your vote and take a drive
With fall approaching, now is the perfect time to think about your favorite stretch of road to drive
during the peak of leaf season. Both the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive have been nominated for "Best Scenic Autumn Drive" in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest. The contest will run for four weeks, and individuals can vote once a day for the run of the contest. 
 
Vote here by September 28th and look for the winner to be announced on October 2nd.
