With Valentine's Day approaching, love is in the air, and we certainly LOVE our new website! We are thrilled to announce the first-ever Augusta County Economic Development website is live at www.AugustaVABusiness.com. We have a great story to tell, and we now have a great marketing tool to spread the word. The site is targeted at site selectors, companies looking to relocate or expand, small business entrepreneurs and interested citizens. Features include an available sites and building database and a custom report builder.

Our exciting growth, focus on agriculture, happy and talented workforce, location and access, and speed-to-market are emphasized throughout the site as well as our strong educational and healthcare systems.

International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) Report

World's Largest Poultry, Meat and Feed Industry Event

In conjunction with Virginia Ag Development Officers (VADO), Amanda Glover recently attended the IPPE show in Atlanta GA.  Over 5,000 national and international visitors attended the show for information on industry developments and issues and to visit over 1,000 exhibitors.  To see the group who attended, check out our Facebook picture here.

Save the Date: Virginia Agritourism Conference

 

Plan to attend the upcoming Virginia Agritourism Conference focusing on Agritourism in the Creative Economy. Attendees will be able to choose from multiple speaker sessions, hear from Secretary of Commerce, Maurice Jones, and Secretary of Ag and Forestry, Todd Haymore, as well as a choose-your-own field trip. The first day of the conference will end with tours to Fields of Gold members Cestari Sheep and Wool Company, Mt. Crawford Creamery, Polyface Farms, and White Oak Lavender Farm. The Conference will be held:
