CDLC is hiring! We are seeking a Member Outreach Coordinator: get all of the details here. Review of resumes begins Oct. 21st.

At the October CDLC Board of Trustees meeting, the following slate of officers was approved for trustees: Tim Burke, Upper Hudson Library System, President; Lynne King, Schenectady County Community College, Vice-President; Eric Trahan, Mohawk Valley Library System, Secretary; Michael-Aikey (ex-officio, Treasurer). Thank you to all of our trustees for their contributions to CDLC!

A reminder to our academic institutions: The deadline to submit 2013-14 Coordinated Collection Development Aid (CCDA) Applications is Friday, November 28. If you have not already done so, please submit your application as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact Kathleen Gundrum.

CDLC is asking all users of the CDLC electronic ILL form to review their information in the CDLC ILL Policies Directory. Upon creation, e-forms are populated with information from the ILL Directory pages. Therefore, correct information will make sure everyone's request ends up in the right place. For assistance updating your ILL Directory page, or if you are a new user, please contact Marie Noonan via email ([email protected]) or phone (518) 438-2500.

Member News

Paige Jaeger, School Library System Director at Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES School Library System, has retired. We wish Paige all the best and thank her for her contributions to CDLC and to the school library community.

J'aime Pfeiffer is the new School Library System Director at Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES School Library System. Formerly, she was the director at Capital Region BOCES. Congratulations, J'aime!

Maria Kessler McShane will be leaving her position as College Archivist/Reference Librarian at the College of St. Rose to begin a new position as a Regional Consultant for the Colorado Library Consortium. We wish Maria all the best, and thank her for her many contributions to CDLC, including being one of the initial contributors to New York Heritage, serving as the Chair of the Regional Automation Advisory Committee (RAAC), and always being willing to be called upon as a mentor to other libraries interested in digitization.

Valerie Catlin, Mohawk Valley Library System, will be retiring at the end of the month. Val has been a great supporter and advocate for CDLC for many years; as an active participant on the CDLC CORS and RAAC committees she has contributed greatly to developing CDLC interlibrary loan and automation products such as the ILL e-Form and CaDiLaC.  As a 24-year member of RAAC, Val has served on subcommittees too numerous to mention.  We thank Val for her many contributions to all of the libraries in the Capital District and wish her congratulations on her retirement.
