CDLC needs your input! In early 2014 we'll be distributing a survey to our members regarding CDLC programs and services and appreciate all input. How can we best serve you and your library users?

Thanks to our terrific speakers- Polly-Alida Farrington, Geoff Kirkpatrick and Emily Thompson-and to you- for making the 2013 CDLC Annual Meeting a success. We welcomed approximately 80 attendees to The Century House on November 19th.  As part of the Enjoy One, Share One meal program, attendees contributed nearly 80 meals to the Northeast Regional Food Bank.

At the meeting Kathy Corbett, Office Services & Bibliographic Assistant, was recognized for 30 years of service at CDLC. Sue Rahn, Catalog Librarian, celebrated 25 years with CDLC. Thank you Kathy and Sue for the wonderful service you provide!

This week, the Regional Automation Advisory Committee (RAAC) and the CDLC Board of Trustees meet. The Committee on Resource Sharing (CORS) next meets on January 8th to continue planning for CDLC Resource Sharing Field Day on May 7th.

Susan D'Entremont, our Regional Archivist, is interested in offering programs for religious institutions on caring for their archival records. Tentatively, the first program will be a panel discussion consisting of people, whether paid or volunteer, who work with their institutions' records. We know people representing Christian denominations who might be on this panel and are seeking representatives of Jewish, Hindu and Muslim institutions. If you know of anyone from these faith traditions that you think might have connections or interest in archives/libraries/special collections of their faith communities, please let Susan know.

Reminders!

We'd like your input! Please complete a NY3Rs Association survey about your professional development interests by Friday, December 20th.  Thank you!

Have you migrated? OCLC is migrating its Resource Sharing activities to a new platform, WorldShare ILL.  The timeline requires libraries to be on the new platform by May 19th, 2014, when the current platform will no longer be available. OCLC indicates April 14th, 2014 as the last day new requests may be placed using the existing platform. Information can be found here. Please contact Marie Noonan with questions.
