This year's Southern NH Expo is shaping up to be a terrific event! We are adding new events to go along with our new day on Saturday,such as a Kidz Zone area with bounce houses, face painting and a "Mad Scientist" to keep the kiddos entertained while Mom & Dad visit with exhibitors. Stage entertainment will be new and varied too - great music and dance and a show featuring Mad Science of Southern NH! And we will be holding a drawing for a Season's Pass for a Family of 5 to Crotched Mountain Ski Resort - a $1500 value! You won't want to miss this!

TODAY! Monday, October 6th at 7:00 pm, Dr. Torin Finser presents his most recent research and his new book, A Second Classroom: Parent-Teacher Relationships in a Waldorf School.
The talk will be followed by an opportunity for questions and answers, then a book signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event, and are also available at the
Color Shop and of course on Amazon. This event is free to all attendees, but we suggest a donation for the generous gift of Dr. Finser's time. A collection jar will be available at the door.
About Torin Finser
Dr. Finser has been an educator for three decades. He is Chair of the Education Department at Antioch University New England, and is author of several books, including School as a Journey and School Renewal. The Finser family has also been involved at Pine Hill and High Mowing for many years.
Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services (HCS) will hold a flu vaccine clinic at Edgewater Estates in Wilton on Monday, October 13 from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Vaccines are administered by an HCS Wellness Nurse. This clinic is open to the public ages 19 years or older, and no appointment is needed. Medicare, Anthem BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, and MVP insurances will be accepted, or there is a $25 fee for the vaccine. People are encouraged to wear loose sleeves. St. Joseph Healthcare is offering "Human Trafficking: A Community Response" on Friday, October 31 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Nashua Hotel.
The morning program will include a presentation by Jasmine Marino, a survivor and advocate, "Why Human Trafficking Should Matter to You". Evelyn Chumbow, also a survivor and advocate, will share her personal testimony. Erin Albright, JD, the Anti-Traffic Coordinator for the International Institute of New England, will provide an update on efforts at the state level to address human trafficking.
Following lunch, Sandra Morgan, PhD, the Director of Global Center for Women and Justice, Vanguard University of SC, will present to attendees from the general community, "Beyond Anti Human Trafficking Awareness: A Strategy for Community Engagement and Partnership. Simultaneously, Cathy Miller, RN, PhDc, Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing, willpresent to healthcare providers, "Sex Trafficking in the Health Care Setting: Recommendations for Practice". The day will conclude with a panel discussion, "Local Initiatives and Responses to Human Trafficking".
