Re-dedication Ceremony and Reception of Milford's World War ll Memorial Park, Sunday, September 7, at 1 pm at the park. During WWII, 13 brave men from Milford lost their lives. To honor their memories, the Milford World War II Memorial Park was created and 13 trees planted. Recently, this park replanted the trees and will rededicate the park.


 

Managing Health Care Expenses in Retirement: What Baby Boomers Need to Know About Medicare and Long-Term Care,"  September 10, 6-8 PM,  at the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce office, 69 Route 101A, Amherst. 


 

This educational workshop will cover the following:

  • How Medicare enrollment periods work - and what you need to do to avoid late-enrollment penalties
  • How much you can expect to pay in health care costs after going onto Medicare
  • How Medicare works with private insurance to provide comprehensive coverage
  • Why most people pay too much for private insurance and how you can avoid excess costs
  • Why you must plan for higher health care costs in retirement - including the possibility of needing long-term care

This workshop is purely educational. No specific insurance or investment products will be discussed. 

Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Individuals may reserve space by calling Mike Bonacorsi  at 603 769-3111.

 

DHHS and the Small Business Administration are also hosting a webinar on Tuesday, September 10th from 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET for members of the business community to join and learn more about the HIPP program ( Health Insurance Premium Payment program) and ask questions of Department staff.
