NE FIRST

Out to New England FIRST Robotics Competition teams...

NE FIRST Things FIRST

Week of February 15, 2016

Stop Build Day is Tuesday!

Build season is almost over! Be sure to have your robot bagged by 11:59:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Please refer to Please check section 5 of the Administrative Manual for information on Bagging & Tagging your robot, withholding allowances, and the robot lock-up form.

If you're in an area that's predicted to receive a storm within the next few days, please remember that safety comes before robots! However, you should be working under the assumption that Stop Build Day won't be moving, regardless of how heavy the storms are or where they hit.

Consent & Release Form Reminders

FIRST Consent & Release Form

For all official FIRST events, your team needs to either have a roster of students and mentors from STIMS & TIMS respectively or have paper copies of the 2016 Consent & Release forms for all team members that will be present at the event.

Information about registering students in STIMS can be found here. Hard copies of the Consent & Release forms can be found here.

NE FIRST Consent & Release Form

All teams competing at an NE FIRST event must fill out an NE FIRST consent and release form in addition to the FIRST consent and release form. These forms should be completed and signed by parents/authorized adults and brought with the team and turned at the beginning of the team's first district event. The form will cover the team for additional plays in New England during the season and only needs to be filled out once. The form can be found here (please disregard the year in the file name; the consent & release form itself does not have a date and is the correct one for this year).

WPI FRC New England District Championship Scholarship 2016 & SolidWorks/WPI Scholarship 2016

In 2016, WPI and SolidWorks will offer scholarships to seniors on teams participating in any of the New England FRC District Events. To be eligible, students must:
