NE District Event Updates

Week 3 Results

Match results and awards are posted for the UMass Dartmouth and Pine Tree District Events! Updated District rankings can be found here. Rankings are subject to change throughout the competition season, especially as more teams compete and teams start competing in their second events.

Additionally, videos from Pioneer Valley, Reading, and UMass Dartmouth have been added to the NE FIRST YouTube page.

FIRST Championship Updates

Today's FRC blogpost included important updates about Championship:

Championship Waitlist

Due to the large number of projected waitlist slots, teams on the waitlist for Championship will start being notified of their status today.

Robot Crate Shipping

Some of our Championship-bound teams have found, post-bagging, that their robots are too tall to fit in their crates, which are not allowed to be taller than 70". If your team runs into this problem, send an email to [email protected] explaining the situation, and they can grant you permission to open your bag so you can disassemble your robot to the point where it will fit in your crate then re-bag. Note, though, that no other work may be done on your robot other than the disassembly.

Championship Travel Resources

FIRST has a new travel resources program teams may use. Teams can access special events, get help finding transportation, and even get travel insurance if you'd like. FIRST recognizes the logistical complexities of trying to get your team to St Louis, and your interest in making sure everyone has fun. This new program is designed to help.

District Event Volunteer Reminder

All teams competing in the NE District Events must provide at least one event volunteer. Several NE District Events are in need of key volunteers with either technical or FIRST experience, such as Robot Inspectors and Referees. Volunteers should sign up through VIMS ASAP. Descriptions of event volunteer positions can be found in the Volunteer section of the FIRST website.
