Shields, McMurry Ave. and Lochwood Blvd., to improve the safety and comfort of riding a bicycle in Fort Collins.  To learn more about the benefits of buffered bike lanes, check out the National Association of City Transportation Officials website

New Belgium  Bike In Cinema

Thursdays, gates open at 7:30pm at New Belgium Brewing

NBB In 2004, while biking past our local drive-in, we thought, "Everything is cool about this except the cars."

Every summer since then we have hosted our own outdoor Bike-in Cinema on the front lawn here at New Belgium. It's quite a sight - 400 or 500 of our friends and neighbors spread out on blankets, catching a flick and sipping beverages beneath the stars. All beverage proceeds go to local non-profit partners. The best part is watching everyone ride away on their bicycles, lights flashing, bells ringing on those warm summer nights. Admission is $2.

          • September 4: Stand By Me
          • September 11: Ghostbusters
NoCo Gravelo
Saturday, Sunday, September 6-7 starting at 8am
NoCo Gravelo is a semi-supported bicycle gravel ride and revival west of Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, and it's FREE to participate. Rides will start around 8:00 am Saturday morning, and we'll gather around the campfire for food and beverage as folks finish the ride throughout the day. Bring a tent to camp and take in the stars with us Saturday night!

If anyone doesn't want to ride, but still wants to be part of the fun, we'd love it if you want to come help out! We need some volunteers to run a couple water/first aid stations, too, so please let me know if you're interested in that.

Go check out more information, including ride routes (there is both a long and a short loop) and RSVP at  https://www.facebook.com/NoCoGravelo!

Weekly Ride Sally Rides!

Every Thursday thru October

Ride, Sally Rides (RSR) are a weekly opportunity for women to get together and spend time in the saddle. We are not a new bike club. We are riders, racers, students, moms, locals, visitors, and friends who want to pedal together on Thursday evenings. This is simply a weekly excuse to branch out of our social networks to experience new rides and new people in and around Fort Collins.

Check the Bicycle Ambassador Program's calendar for more information on each week's ride. To lead a ride or to join the weekly ride notification list, contact: [email protected]

Report an Abandoned Bike
The Fort Collins Bike Co-Op, the City of Fort Collins' FC Bikes program, and the Police Department have partnered to keep bicycles out of the landfill and to get them back on the road.  If you come across a bike that you believe has been lost or abandoned, the Bike Co-Op will take care of it and get it back to its owner or back on the road. Please note, the bicycle must have been in the same location for over 48 hours. For more information or to report an abandoned bike, please visit: FC Bike Co-Op Abandoned Bike Report Form

BAP

Bicycle Ambassadors want northern Colorado to be the safest place to ride a bike, whether on the street or a trail. We train people of all ages and abilities to become ambassadors of safe cycling. Afterwards, they work to reduce the number of motor vehicle/bicycle/pedestrian crashes in our community by increasing knowledge and awareness about how to ride and share roads and trails safely.

What do we offer?

  • One-hour bicycle safety education presentations for kids, families, businesses, senior groups or any group of six or more people.
  • Education at community events. We can staff a booth, set up a bike skills course and more!

Check out bicycleambassadorprogram.org for more information.
