bike rack or a commuter bike for the workplace.  Second place winners will receive a toolkit for the workplace, allowing for minor bicycle repairs to keep employees rolling!

City Bike Projects & Programs

Join FC Bikes for FC Rides!

Saturdays, October 19, 26, November 2 from 10am to Noon

To kick off the update to the Bike Plan, we invite you to participate in FC Rides -- a series of community bicycle rides to collect on-the-ground feedback about bicycling in Fort Collins. FC Rides are held on four Saturdays, beginning October 12, in four different parts of the city. Each ride will be approximately two hours long and around 6 to 8 miles in length. If you're interested in participating in one of the community bicycle rides, RSVP now. If you are unable to attend, there will be many other opportunities to provide input as we update the Bike Plan.

  

REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 11:59 P.M. THE WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO EACH EVENT. REGISTER NOW

  • Southwest Audit is on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Southeast Audit is on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Northwest Audit is on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Register to Host a Winter Bike to Work Day Breakfast Station

Can you believe we are already planning for Winter Bike to Work Day?  Well, the event is right around the corner and we want you to be involved!  Details are being updated on the website as we speak . . . check out  www.fcgov.com/bikewinter for updates on how to register, station maps and a list of hosts.

Traffic Skills 101 Course

LABSaturday, November 9 from 8:30am to 4:00pm at Westbridge Medical Suites

This FREE course, based on the League of American Bicyclists curriculum, covers sharing the road, rules of the road, bicycle safety checks, fixing a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques, PLUS lunch and materials. December Bike Lunch Talk

The Brown Bag Bike Lunch Talks (BLTs) offer Fort Collins residents an opportunity to learn about local bike projects, programs, and issues as well as a forum to share bicycle related information and big ideas. The City of Fort Collins is updating its Bike Plan and we want to hear from you. Take our online survey to tell us what would make bicycling more comfortable and convenient for you and your family in Fort Collins. Cyclo-Cross

Tuesdays, October 15, 22, 29 at New Belgium Brewery

Hello Cyclocross Riders and Fans,  This is the moment you have all been waiting for!  Cross races at New Belgium will fire your legs back up starting Tuesday Oct. 8. *Parking is limited so RIDE your bike to the event if you can. Parking will be located on NBB Property to the East of the course. Online Registration is Available. 

 

Proceeds to Ciclismo Youth Foundation getting kids on bikes. Especially those High School Riders you will see out at the races. Thanks for all you all's support.

 

Cross of the North

October 19-20 at the Ranch Events Complex

This full weekend of cyclocross action reunites the team and venue behind the 2012 Colorado Cyclocross State Championships, whos 2012 effort was hailed by BikeRadar and VeloNews as one of the best courses in the state.

 

Look for many of the course's signature features plus plenty of new twists.  enjoy a variety of  food and beer vendors. Congregate on a tighter, spectator friendly course. Back this year are the convenient location near I-25 and Highway 34 in Loveland, ample parking, and the return of a racer favorite: the indoor bike wash.

 

Whether you're a seasoned pro, a weekend warrior, race curious, or just want to come out and cheer (or heckle) some great racing, dont miss Cross of the North 2013.  As always juniors race free.  Registration info and more at facebook.com/CrossOfTheNorth.
