Bevtec Asia 2015 receives strong industry support

Krones has welcomed the Bevtec Asia concept of a dedicated drink technology exhibition on a two year cycle to serve Southeast Asia's fast expanding drink manufacturing sectors. Krones will join other market leaders with their support and participation at the exhibition to be held at BITEC from 6-8 May 2015.

The Krones Group, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, plans, develops and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process, filling and packaging technology. The company's product portfolio is rounded off by corporate capabilities in intralogistics, information technology, factory planning, and in-house valve manufacture. Every day, millions of bottles, cans, and special-shaped containers are handled on lines from Krones, particularly in breweries, the soft-drinks sector and at producers of still or sparkling wines and spirits.

Bevtec Asia 2015 will welcome the region's drink manufacturers and related industries from throughout Southeast Asia, South Asia and southern China. It will be held alongside a high profile technical industry conference.  The event is supported by the international and regional brewing and beverage media as well as Thailand's Ministry of Industry, Department of Industrial Promotion, TCEB under the office of the Prime Minister and FoSTAT.

SIPA to introduce new technologies

SIPA confirm their strong presence at Bevtec Asia 2015 with the introduction of their latest technology to combine high-end packaging design with preform and bottle engineering excellence to optimize packaging weight and performance.

Bevtec Asia 2015 will showcase not only the latest global machinery innovations but also the latest scientific, laboratory and test equipment, ingredients, additives, processing applications and related drink manufacturing technologies from R&D to product distribution.

Thai drink giants embrace ASEAN expansion

Two major food and beverage giants - Oishi Group and Ichitan Group - are launching joint-venture deals within ASEAN to cash in on the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), which comes into effect next year, reports the Nation.

After successfully opening its first Japanese restaurant in Yangon, Myanmar's largest city, in July, Oishi Group plans to expand its restaurant network in ASEAN with joint-venture (JV) possibilities being negotiated with potential partners in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Ichitan Group will today announce a partnership with PT Atri Pasifik to set up a company named Ichitan Indonesia for the manufacture and distribution of Ichitan ready-to-drink tea in Indonesia. PT Atri Pasifik is a JV between PT Sigmantra Alfindo - a large business conglomerate in Indonesia - and Japan's Mitsubishi Corp.

Bevtec Asia's staging co-insides with the opening of the AEC in 2015 bringing with it wide reaching opportunities for expansion and investment throughout Southeast Asia.

"The 600 million free trade market of ASEAN, opening up in 2015, will provide a gateway for Bevtec Asia exhibitors to expand into the growth markets of Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and the emerging neighbouring markets of Cambodia and Myanmar", explained David Aitken, Managing Director, Asian Exhibition Services (AES) Ltd.
