Alternative Clean Transport in Asia

AFT Asia 2013 (Alternative Fuel Transport) will be held from 7-9 November at BITEC in Bangkok, endorsed by the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Transport Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Industry and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. In 2012 the event attracted attendees from 47 countries and was the winner of the World Marketing Organization's Gold Medal for Quality & Service Award. AFT Asia will be Asia-Pacific's premier annual conference and exhibition for alternative fuel transport. Mark your calendars and book your exhibition space today.

CONFERENCE

AFT Asia 2013 will stage the technical industry conference programme alongside the exhibition. The 3 day conference, organised in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Transport Foundation, will examine the impact of the world's fast growing transport market and explore how this impact can be sustained in the years and decades ahead.

EXHIBITION

The AFT Asia 2013 exhibition is a business platform for international manufacturers of alternative fuel technology to meet Asia's leading fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, engine and component manufacturers, vehicle converters, fuel suppliers and distributors, infrastructure service providers, government organisations and automotive market stakeholders.

Throughout Asia, particularly in Thailand, there are many alternative fuel vehicle options available, to include CNG, biodiesel, LNG, LPG, hybrids, ethanol and hydrogen applications. Many of these technologies were strongly featured at the inaugural 2012 4,000 m event in Bangkok that attracted trade visitors from 47 countries. In November the full spectrum of alternative fuelled transport will be displayed at AFT Asia 2013.

MARKET REVIEW

Governments in Asia have responded quickly to the urgent need for a change to alternative fuels. In India there has been a considerable policy shift towards CNG usage in Delhi and other major cities. In Thailand, Malaysia, China, Pakistan, Iran and Indonesia huge advances have also been made in developing vehicle and infrastructure conversions towards a wider scope of natural gas vehicle usage.

However, throughout Asia, and in Thailand in particular, there are many alternative fuel vehicle options available alongside CNG and LPG to include biodiesel, hybrids, ethanol, hydrogen, fuel cells, methanol, propane, LNG and LCNG.

Fleet operators, OEMs and end users are seeking alternative fuel solutions for their immediate investments. In 2012 the event was Southeast Asia's leading alternative fuels exhibition with trade visitors from 47 countries gathered for the 3 day event in Bangkok where "the overwhelming message from fleet operators in particular was that alternative fuel transport is the future but in every country and in every city in Asia there are different challenges and different solutions", explained David Aitken, Managing Director of AES, organisers of AFT Asia 2013.

AFT Asia 2013 will bring together the full scope of alternative fuel technologies to the gathering of the leading stakeholders from throughout Asia-Pacific, the event will run from 7-9 November at the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Thailand.
