Credentialing News
A quick tip for completing CAQH applications - As indicated in the DMA contract with the LME/MCO, licensed practitioners must identify an on-call designee when applying for credentialing and re-credentialing. In the CAQH application this is addressed by Question #9: Arrangements for 24 hour/7 day coverage.  A detailed explanation for managing emergencies that occur after hours is required for Question #9.
The following are examples of unacceptable responses:
  • No
  • Yes
  • N/A
  • Call 911
  • Refer to ED
Applications that do not specifically identify an on-call designee will be pended for this required information. Should you have any questions regarding this notice please contact the Smoky Credentialing Team at credentialingteam@smokymountaincenter.com or at 855-432-9139.
