NC Innovations Waiver Amendment Public Comment Period Extended to August 7, 2015


The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has extended the Public Comment period for the NC Innovations Waiver Amendment. 

NC DHHS has stated that they are aware that some comments previously submitted may have not transmitted to the Division of Medical Assistance. If you sent in a comment before the original deadline, you are asked to please resend the information.

What are the proposed changes?

The changes that DHHS is proposing include the following:

  • New Service Definitions: Community Living and Support, Supportive Living
  • Removed Service Definitions:  Personal Care, In Home Intensive Support, In Home Skill Building
  • Modified Service Definitions:  Residential Supports, Respite, Supportive Employment, Assistive Technology, Commuity Guide, Community Networking, Community Transition, Crisis Services, Home Modifications, Natural Supports Education, Specialized Consultation, Vehicle Modification
