LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS E-NEWS
A monthly update from UCP Central PA

April is National Autism Awareness Month
Forging a Better Life
That's a fact that is as relevant and as much a part of what we do at UCP Central PA as was last month's Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. And that just goes to show how much the scope of our programs and services have expanded over the past 60+ years. What began as a therapeutic service for children with cerebral palsy has grown, evolved, and adapted tremendously over time. Still, UCP remains true to its original purpose: to forge a better life for those with special needs.
Meet Artist Austin Orelli
Welcome to the WildLife of Autism!
It's In Our Culture...

At UCP, we understand that "life without limits" doesn't just happen. It takes communication, and making connections, along with innovation and teamwork. It's no surprise then these are four of the six core principles that inform the ideal UCP culture. When all these factors come into play, the odds are very good that an individual with a disability will learn to embrace his disability and find his power.

Austin Orelli, UCP Agency with Choice consumer in Williamsport, PA, is an example of someone who is doing just that...

Magic Night 2016
A Flawless Evening!

Magic Night celebrated its Diamond Jubilee anniversary this March at the Hershey Country Club. That's 30 years of magic, made possible by hundreds of committee volunteers donating countless hours of time and a wonderful community of supporters making thousands of generous donations.

A very special thank you to Event Sponsors George & Cathy Sweeney and the devoted members of this year's Magic Night Committee. Magic Night 2016 boasted a full house of 227 attendees and grossed nearly $95,000 in support of UCP programs and services.

Our deepest thanks to emcees Valerie Pritchett and Nancy Ryan, Live auctioneer George Sweeney, photographers from Hartman Benzon Media, and The Uptown Band, as well as all the guests, sponsors, advertisers, donors, event attendees, and volunteers...who together helped make the evening such a success! Photos from the evening can be viewed here.

Save the Date for next year's 31st Annual Magic Night Celebration: Saturday, March 11 at the Hershey Country Club, once again featuring music from The Uptown Band!
