This ministry provides a meal for a bereaved family of CBC when an immediate family member has passed. If you would be willing to provide a dish, please mark Event Response #1 or click here and provide your name and phone number. You will be contacted by Rhonda from the church office.

TRIP TO ISRAEL

  

Pastor Roland and Phyllis are hosting a trip to see the Holy Land

this fall.  Possible dates in November (5, 12, 18, 26); depending on

which date we selected, the cost would be between $2,700-2,900

per person.  If you are interested, please let the church office know

Deacon Selection Lists - Now is the time to select men to serve as active deacons. A list of all eligible men is available at the church office board in the Atrium for your suggestions. (It was included in last week's bulletin). Please fill out and return to the church office by February 24th.
 
Library News this Week: Parents: Check out the "What's in the Bible" DVD series by the creator of Veggie Tales, Phil Vischer. Each of the nine DVDs is filled with original music, animation, puppets and creative writing that will teach kids about God and His Word. Watch these as a family for opportunities to discuss the Biblical concepts being presented in the video.

3rd Annual Singles Retreat -  Come ONE - Come All. Singles between 18 and 100 are encouraged to attend the retreat at Hidden Mountain Resort, Sevierville, TN, February 15-17, 2013. Total cost is $115, which includes 4 meals, lodging, a great time, and LOTS of Jesus! A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. We were full last year so plan now to attend. Marriage Ministry - Do you know your Love Language?  Do you know the Love Language of your spouse? Join us for the New Sunday Series Love Languages February 24- March 24 5:45 - 7:00 p.m. Based on the best selling book The Five Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman. 50+ AM Leadership Team Meeting - Tuesday, February 12, 6:00 p.m.

  

Widows Luncheon - Wednesday, February 20th at 12:00 noon. The luncheon is open to all widows for a relaxed time of fellowship, sharing and support. Bring a sandwich, etc. Chips, drinks and dessert will be provided.

  

Widowers Out to Lunch - Thursday, February 21st at 11:30 a.m. at Boston's Dutch Treat. Join other men for a relaxed time of fellowship, sharing and support.

 

Men's Ministry - Manning Up - Saturday, February 23rd 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. - Choir Room. Come join us this month as Pastor Roland will be the speaker. All men are welcome and encouraged to bring your Bible study group or guests. Coffee and Donuts provided.

 

 

Real Life Youth SKI TRIP ON MISSION 2013 - February 15-18 (Fri-Mon) - Winter Place, West Virginia for those who signed up. Please be in prayer as 40 teens learn how to practice sharing their faith on the slopes of West Virginia.
 
Upcoming Mission Trips: Please be in prayer as preparations are being made for 2013 mission trips. Tentative Date for Puerto Maldonado, Peru is May 21-30. Those dates have not been actually set yet.  Also dates are being finalized for the Zimbabwe, Africa trip as well.
 
Club 56 - Easter Baskets - March 29th 10:00 - 4:00 p.m We will be preparing and delivering Easter Baskets.

  

Easter Eggstravaganza - March 30 (Saturday) 10:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Darrell & Kristie Smith's House 2184 Pigeon Ridge Road. Preteens will host Easter Eggstravaganza// Lesson, Puppet show, lunch and other spring activities for children ages 1 year - 4th grade. Preteens should arrive at 8:30 a.m. for set up and to hide eggs. Children will arrive at 10:00 a.m. Parents bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Missions Go

Upcoming Training for Mission Work - Our Mission Committee wants people who are interested in glob al mission trips to do some online training. The format will be similar to previous PartnerConnect webinars that we have done, so if you missed one or want a refresher this is another great opportunity. We want this training to be available to as many people as possible. Each training will be on Tuesday nights at 8pm EST. Cost is free, all you need is a computer with internet access and speakers. 

 

PARTNERCONNECT WEBINARS: We will have a series of 6 webinars, on Tuesday nights starting at 8:00 pm EST.
