DREW SCOTT RACING
AUGUST 2015

I hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer, as they seem to be flying by a bit too quickly! I have continued to have a bit of a bumpy year with some bad luck in a few races and others that have just not quite gone my way.

I competed in IRONMAN France at the end of June and was having a great race thru 5k of the run as I was in 4th place before stomach issues derailed my plans. I'm still figuring out the nutrition for the Ironman distance and hopefully with a few tweaks I will be good to go for the next one.

Last weekend I raced in New Hampshire at IRONMAN Timberman 70.3 and unfortunately got my second flat tire of the year leading to an early end of my day. It was a beautiful venue for a race though and I would love to return next year to redeem myself. I am still as hungry as ever to race and to perform to the level that I feel I'm capable of.

I think everyone goes through patches like this in sport and sometimes it just seems to come in waves. It's important not to dwell too much on the bad ones and instead focus on what you can do because sooner or later everything clicks. I'll be heading back to Mexico again to race IRONMAN 70.3 Cozumel next month before returning to IRONMAN 70.3 Silverman, which I won in 2014 and am eager to defend my title there. There are still plenty of races left this year and I will keep things rocking looking ahead to finishing the year off strong. Thanks to everyone for the continued support this year!

I'm very excited to be working with Alta Physical Therapy & Pilates. I began going here earlier this year and the work they have done to help keep me in one piece and make sure my body is moving properly has been phenomenal. Being able to utilize a place like this is an amazing tool for me to have and really crucial to staying healthy. After suffering two stress fractures in the first two years of my Professional career I have finally been injury free in 2015 and it has allowed me to have consistency in both my training and racing.

Since ALTA opened in 1990, we have been a dynamic clinic, growing and changing to serve our clients in the best way possible. Our commitment to professional growth helps our therapists develop their strengths in a broad range of specialties.  We use this diversity to your advantage, and work collaboratively towards one goal: your health.
