Happy National Forest Week! September 18-24th is National Forest Week in Canada. Established circa 1920 as Forest Fire Prevention Week, the intention was to encourage greater public awareness towards Canada's forests. This year's theme is "True North, Strong and Green: Celebrating Canada's Forests!"  

This is also the same week that DEMO International comes to B.C. You can find information about live equipment demos, as well as "Canada's Forest Sector: Adapting to a New Reality" conference details on the DEMO International website.

"Wildlife tree" refers to trees, living, dead or some of both, with dead wood features (holes, cracks, loose bark, etc.) that provide habitats for cavity dwelling species.
