PFLA's 21st Conference & AGM

We're pumped to host our 21st annual conference and AGM at Painter's Lodge in Campbell River, June 1st and 2nd. Along with regularly scheduled updates, this year's event will focus on themes of wildlife habitat and watershed management, along with safety and security. 2016 AVICC Convention Trade Show  

The Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities (AVICC) is hosting their annual convention at the conference centre in Nanaimo, April 8-10. If you're in the neighbourhood, please stop by the PFLA info booth at the AVICC trade show. We look forward to spreading the good word about private forestry and connecting with community members and municipal elected officials from across Vancouver Island and B.C.'s coastal communities.

The Wildfire Management Branch of the provincial government engages in cost-sharing protocols with stakeholders including First Nations, the forest industry, private landowners, utilities, railways and the federal government. The latest three-year contracts expired in 2016. With fire season just around the corner, the Wildfire Management Branch sent renewal contracts to landowners in mid-March for the fire season starting ..[read more]»
