Greetings!

Welcome to the May edition of the PFLA online newsletter. You'll find updates, tips and information about critical wildlife habitat, wildfire prevention and Douglas-fir log prices. As always, thanks for your interest!

It's been a little over a year since PFLA signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Forest, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and the Ministry of Environment regarding critical wildlife habitat. The MOU reflects a commitment on behalf of all parties to promote a "made-in-BC" approach to the protection and management of critical wildlife habitat on private managed forest land. It's that time of year again. The time of year when sunshine mixes with warm weather and flourishing landscapes to propel people of all shapes and sizes---- old, young, mildly curious, wildly adventuresome, visitors, locals---- to take to the great outdoors for hiking, camping, fishing and general recreating. With increased outdoor activity, no matter how inspired, comes increased wildfire risk.
