Private Forest Matters Newsletter
May 2013
Greetings!

Welcome to the latest edition of the PFLA online newsletter. Thanks for your time and your interest. Let us know if you have any questions or feedback. As always, we look forward to hearing from you.

You've heard us champion forest tours as the  number one tool in the box of communication devices we use to educate audiences about private forestry practices, so you won't be surprised to hear we jumped at the chance to don hard hats and safety vests and join some of our larger forest owners as they toured staff and council members from the Association of BC Forest Professionals around private managed forest operations on Vancouver Island. Canadian Association of Forest Owners (CAFO) Inaugural AGM

CAFO's inaugural AGM was held late April in Ottawa. A considerable amount of energy went into determining the organization's objectives and developing a carefully designed structure that incorporates a broad range of representative forest owners from across the country. The model will continue to expand and flourish as we build on our strengths and initial successes as the voice for Canada's forest owners.
Sincerely,

Wildfire Season is Heating Up!
