It's not certain, but all signs point to an election on May 14th. With any election comes a swarm of pre-election activities---- candidates are selected, platforms are decided, campaigns are forged, community meetings are planned, doors are knocked on, babies are kissed and information is distributed. Out and About with the PFLA

PFLA Hometown Tour: We're pleased to announce the hometown tour is well underway and a smashing success so far. A big PFLA thanks to all of you who've taken time out of your busy schedules to join us. We've completed the Vancouver Island segment of the tour with meetings in Victoria, Nanaimo and Courtenay. This week, we're heading to Vancouver and Galiano Island before wrapping things up in Kelowna and Casltegar at the end of March. Thanks again for your interest and your participation: it makes a huge difference. Thanks also for your patience as a flurry of reminder emails flutter into your in-boxes.    

Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities 64th Annual AGM & Convention The AVICC is holding their annual general meeting and convention in Sooke this year. In the spirit of spreading the good news about private forestry, PFLA is hosting a breakfast information session and looking forward to the chance to connect with mayors and elected officials from Vancouver Island and B.C.'s coastal communities. 
 

Did you know in British Columbia more than 30 acts and regulations  govern management activities on private forest land? As a private forest owner, that's a lot of legislation to be aware of when you're planning your management activities.
