Stitch Guides

 

Stitch guides are just that - guidelines.  They are not rules.  There are no needle- point "police".  You should stitch how and with any thread that makes you happy!

As we start thinking about Back to School, don't forget about your stitching!  The Village Ewe's popular Gingerbread Workshop is scheduled for September 7th.  We have a few spots left, so call now to reserve your space and choose your "house".  These gingerbread houses are some of our most sought after items.  Join the fun!  Start a village of your own!

 

Dorothy's Going Away Pillow

You may recall from our last newsletter that one of our employees - Dorothy is moving out of the region.  The "Ewes" stitched a custom designed pillow (above) of her favorite things.

A new Ewe has joined our flock.  Please come in and welcome Polly.  She is a very experienced stitcher with a great eye for color!

 

The Village Ewe will be taking a short vacation to re-stock for the busy fall season.  We will be closed August 25 through September 2nd (Labor Day).

Upcoming Classes and Workshops

   

Gingerbread House Workshop Gingerbread House

Saturday, September 7th

Noon to 4 pm

You choose your gingerbread house canvas from our broad selection, including new designs for 2013. We provide everything you need: threads, a stitch guide and four hours of stitching guidance. Space is limited to six.  So come into the store in advance to choose your canvas and to sign-up.  The cost is $300.

 

Beginner Classes: Tuesdays - 10 am to noon 

September 10, 18 and 26

Learn basic stitches using a variety of threads.  The cost of $200 includes all the materials and instruction.  Please sign-up in advance via email or calling 203-637-3953.

 

Workshops: Tuesdays - 10 am to noon

Please reserve your spot in advance to receive personal attention for a new or old project.  The cost is $15/hour.
