Try a New Thread
For a Special Effect!
 

The Village Ewe has an extensive selection of needlepoint threads, with 60 different types and over 40,000 threads in stock.  By simply changing thread texture, you can create a unique look!  Try "velvet" thread for Santa's coat, employ "fuzzy stuff" thread for animals or hair and use "boucle" thread for shrubs and grass.  We are happy to offer suggestions!

Happy New Year!

 

We have many things to be excited for in 2013!  Trunk Shows from Amanda Lawford, Associated Talents, Painted Pony and Julia's Needleworks are scheduled for 2013.  We will be holding a Saturday class during each of these Trunk Shows to showcase those designs.  Details are to come in the next issue of the "Newes".

Now is the time to think about graduation gifts.  We can design that special needlepoint project for you.  Popular gift items include custom designed belts, university seal pillows

and box tops (see insert).  Please order now to allow sufficient time for stitching and finishing before the big day.

February Trunk Show 

 

Belts from Julia's Needleworks are 20% Off 

 

The Village Ewe has an enormous selection of belts arriving for this truck show.  There is a belt for everyone!  You can finish belts as dog collars, camera and guitar straps and key fobs.  Belts can also be put on our colorful canvas totes.  Don't miss this trunk show, which starts February 1st.

Upcoming Classes and Workshops

 

Beginner Classes: Wednesdays from 10 am to noon 

February 6, 13, 20 & 27

Learn basis stitches using a variety of threads.  The cost of $250 includes all the materials and instruction.  Please sign-up by January 29 via email or calling 203-637-3953.

 

Workshops: Tuesdays from 10 am to noon

Please reserve your spot in advance to receive personal attention for a new or old project.  Cost is $15/hour.

 

The Twelve Days of Christmas Club

The First Wednesday of each Month Beginning March 6, 2013

10 am to noon or 7 pm to 9 pm

Each month you will receive a canvas with threads and a stitch guide.  We will hold a monthly class in the morning and evening (your choice of which to attend) providing any guidance you may need.  The cost of $75 per month, includes materials (excluding finishing) and instruction.  The first meeting will be on March 6th.
