Stretcher Bar Use
 

Using stretcher bars for your canvas serves a great purpose.  The canvas tension is kept consistent and the canvas will not skew.  Try it, and you may eliminate the need for blocking.

Happy New Year! 

 

Come shop The Village Ewe this month during our Belt Trunk Show.  Pick up a belt canvas for you and one for an upcoming graduate!  You can usually get a belt and matching key fob from one canvas.

 

   

 

Later this month, we are attending  The National Needlearts Association ("TNNA") Winter Trade Show, also know as "The Market", in Phoenix.  This is our major buying trip where we meet with designers, wholesalers and manufacturers, see the latest in needlepoint products and learn new techniques from some of the industry's best teachers.  Look for new canvases and threads starting to arrive at The Village Ewe in February!  We will have the newest canvases from the ever popular designers including  Melissa Shirley, Susan Roberts and Smathers & Branson.

 

We are also looking for new artists to add to our selection of over 50 artists that we currently carry in inventory.  Last year we discovered the fabulous Clara Wells tote that has sold-out repeatedly.  Who knows what we will come back with this year?

from 10 am - 12 pm.

 

We are available to answer your questions, give you a refresher, and offer stitch and thread suggestions to enhance your canvas.  If you would like to learn to needlepoint,  or to learn a new stitch, or just come to finish a long overdue project, this is your chance!  The cost is $15/hr.

 

Beginner Needlepoint Class 

Tuesdays 12 - 2 pm  on February 14th, 28th and March 6th

Cost is $225, includes canvas, threads and instruction.  

Sign-up by February 3rd to hold your space.  Reservations are required. 

Stop by to see the canvas and learn more.
