Today's Scripture(s) - 2 Corinthians 1:20
"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."
So when I heard this in my spirit this morning, I thought 'yes Lord all your promises are 'yea' and 'Amen' in our Lord Jesus, (which means the promises of God the Father are 'yes and it is so'). Some of us are not getting this verse of scripture right in our minds. What the scripture says is 'all of the promises of God' are yes and they are so. Not 'all of what we want' is yes and they are so. In order for us to truly know what the promises of God are we are going to have to read His word and listen to His word and allow the Word of God to begin to sink deep into our hearts. We cannot be lazy about getting God's word in us Children of God. We cannot think that the Word of God is going to get into our hearts and mind through osmosis. Laying your bible under your pillow at night while you are sleeping is not going to cause the words to magically seep into your brain as you slumber! The more that we read God's word with prayerful hearts and spend time in His presence through prayer, praise and worship and the more we hear the Word of God it brings life to our lives, we must ask the Holy Spirit to give us understanding and to open our hearts and our minds to the Word. We must ask the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom on how to handle the Word, how to use it in our lives. Are you aware that your spirit man is completely whole? Your spirit man is equipped with everything you need. The problem is some of us are feeding our soul more than we are feeding our spirit man. We have a spirit and we have a soul and we have a body of flesh. For many the spirit man is starving while the soul of the man is fat and flourishing. You see the soul is connected to the flesh and its desires while the spirit is connected to the Father and desires His will. The soul of man along with the flesh of man seeks to be gratified for the soul houses our emotions, wants and desires and if we seek to gratify the soul by giving the flesh what it 'wants' the soul will demand more growing fat while the spirit man grows leaner and leaner not being nourished. Just as we put food into our mouths and chew it up and swallow it to nourish our bodies of flesh, we must open our mouths and take in the Word of God to nourish our spirit man. Sunday is not enough! Would you tell your body "I am only going to feed you on Sunday and the rest of the week you get no food and you get no water or any kind of sustenance until next Sunday"? This is what many are telling their spirit man. Now back to 'yea and Amen'... we must know the promises of God and we must declare His promises in our lives. Speaking the Word of God into our lives brings life to our lives and causes the words that are being spoken to activate and create. We must believe that every word of God is true. His truth comes to life in our lives as we speak it. (Are you getting this?!) The first order of business, be in right standing with the Lord, repent (turn away from) all sin, dedicate your life to the Lord in sincerity and start declaring His life changing Word into your life and DO NOT GIVE UP and DO NOT GIVE IN because all that The Father has promised is YES and AMEN through our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word is true!
Today's Prayer:
Father I thank you for this day. Thank you for giving me rest on last night and thank you for touching me and waking me up this morning, Father I bless you for all that you do and have done for me and I am so thankful and so grateful to you Father for all things. Lord I know and believe that your word is true and I know and believe that all that you have promised is 'yes and Amen' for my life and for the lives of all of your children. I will declare your word, your promises into my life. I will declare them and I will not grow weary or tired. I will keep on declaring and keep on speaking your word into my life and the life of my love ones. I will not fall victim to the enemy allowing him to speak to me and tell me that my declaring your word Father God is not working or does not work. I will continue to speak and declare your truth into my, our lives. I will continue to speak your word believing that all that you have promised for my life and the life of my love ones shall come to pass in the name of Jesus! Father I will feed my spirit man more and more. I want my spirit man to dominate in my life, the flesh and it's desires must me put to death and the soul must be brought under subjection to my spirit that desires the will and the ways of you Father God. I will not be hindered. I will not be stagnant. I will not allow anyone or anything to keep me from moving forward in you Lord and I ask that you would remove all things that hinder, all things that block, all things that would keep me from going forward in you, Father God. Let nothing keep me from fulfilling my destiny in you, Father God. Let nothing keep me from fulfilling my purpose in you, Father God. Keep me on the right track Father, keep my feet on the straight and narrow, fill my heart with your word, fill my mind with your word and give me the determination and the desire to fulfill all that you have put within my hands. Father I thank you, Father I praise you, Father I exalt you and lift you up and give you all the glory. Thank you for being so great and so good to me Father. Thank you for your great goodness and your mercy and your grace on my life today. Blessing and honor and glory and power to you Father forever and ever in Jesus name I pray. Amen

I now invite you Christ Jesus to come into my heart and live in me and be my personal Savior. I ask that you would fill me with your precious Holy Spirit, lead and guide me in this life Lord Jesus. Thank you for saving my soul. Amen.
