OUR YEAR-END RESULTS ARE IN!

ADKers exceeded all expectations for the year-end fund drive! More people donated to this campaign than any other. As the year came to a close our efforts were doubly rewarded with the ban on hydrofracking on or beneath any public lands in New York and the proposal for the casino mega-development right in the heart of our magnificent Sterling Park was squashed. Most of all, thank you for supporting our efforts to keep the brakes on the oil-by-rail business until ALL the cars and tracks are safer, ALL the crude less volatile, and oil and transport companies take the necessary steps to reduce the risk of environmental and community disasters. If the fund drive results tell us anything, it tells us we've got a lot to celebrate!  Thank you so much for funding our conservation, advocacy, recreation, education and stewardship programs.  ADK CARES. Thank YOU for caring.

NEW YORK STATE BANS FRACKING!
The Adirondack Mountain Club applauds the decision by Governor Andrew Cuomo, DEC Commissioner Joseph Martens, and Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker to protect the air, waters, lands, and health of New Yorkers by prohibiting high volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing (HVHF) or fracking in New York, now and forever.
