Thanks to the generosity and expertise of the Northeast Woodworkers Association, our horses are lining up for the ADK Stakes races taking place at this year's Black Fly Affair: A Hikers' Ball, on Saturday, May 31, at the Hiland Park Country Club, Queensbury, NY, 6:30-11:00pm. Don your fabulous hat, lace up your favorite pair of hiking boots and head out for an evening of dining, dancing and racing. If you have not checked out the silent and live auction items online, we suggest you make this move today; trips, outdoor gear, artwork, excursions and collectibles are being posted daily. Proceeds support C.A.R.E.S. across-the-board--ADK's Annual Fund.

ADK Spring Outing 2014 2014 Spring Outing 
May 30 - June 1
ADK's Onondaga Chapter and Finger Lakes Trail Conference are co-hosts for the 2014 Spring Outing. It is being held May 30 to June 1 on the beautiful campus of Cazenovia College (about 20 miles southeast of Syracuse). Outings will include pedaling, paddling and hiking. Participants can hike on the Onondaga Trail, Finger Lakes Trail, North Country National Scenic Trail as well as other local trails. Pedal the rolling hills and scenic lakeside routes or paddle pristine Cazenovia Lake or other nearby lakes. Evening programs are being planned including a musical concert Saturday evening.

National Trails Day 2014 National Trails Day� 2014
& Festival at Waterfront Park in Northville, NY
The weekend of June 6-8, 2014, come to Northville, NY to celebrate National Trails Day2014 marks the 90th anniversary of the Northville-Placid Trail, the very first trail project undertaken by ADK! Starting at 10am on Saturday, stop by Northville's Waterfront Park to enjoy over 60 exhibits, activities and demonstrations--all are welcome! For up-to-date info on the festival and attractions, visit the Northville Merchants Association's Facebook page. ADK will also be organizing six volunteer trail projects on the N-P Trail. Do you want to help out? Click here for project info and registration. All weekend activities are FREE and sponsored by the Adirondack Mountain Club in conjunction with the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Northville Merchants Association.
 
All Northville-Placid Trail Lovers: Friday night, 5-9pm, the N-P Trail Chapter is hosting "Happy Hour and Desserts" at the Northampton Beach Campground Pavillion. Come and meet other members of the chapter, N-P Trail fanatics and ADK trail volunteers!

Canoe & Kayak Instructor Workshop ADK is offering an American Canoe Association Canoe and Kayak Instructor Workshop June 23 to June 27.  During this 5 day workshop participants have the opportunity to earn multiple certifications; Level 2 Essentials of Flat Water Canoe (solo, tandem) and Flat Water Kayak. USVI St. John Service Project

Each year the Adirondack Mountain Club teams up with the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park to complete a week long trail project on the Island of St. John. Participants will be staying at the Cinnamon Bay Campground, the camp site will be set aside specifically for our volunteers. Next year's trip will be January 31 to February 7, 2015.
