Dear Parents,

Please see the note below for our Earth Day Field Trip to Fly'n B Park this Monday. I have most middle school students forms for the trip, so if you have not signed a paper copy for this Monday, please print off the form from the link below. Students who are attending may wear a spirit wear item with their khaki pants if they choose.

Earth Day Field Trip

On Monday, April 22, Earth Day, students will be walking from the school to Fly'n B Park for a guided trash pickup with a park ranger. This small donation of our time will allow us to rent out another park free of charge for our middle school field day. Students will depart school after a brief talk from a local park ranger around 9:30 a.m. We will participate in the park cleanup effort for two hours and then come back to school around 11:30 a.m.

Your student(s) will bring home a permission form for you to sign for the day. You may also click here to print and send it with your child to hand in.

Mission: Our mission is to develop young adults with character like America's founding Renaissance man, Benjamin Franklin: well-read, scientifically curious, and civically engaged.

Vision:
Our students will excel academically through a challenging, sequenced curriculum that emphasizes math, science, and literacy. We will be a data driven institution, focusing on individual students. Our students, teachers, parents, staff, and leaders will be held accountable for the success of our school. Finally, we recognize that an education is incomplete without fostering the arts, sports, nature, and character.

Ben Franklin Academy's 13 Virtues:
Temperance, Silence, Order, Resolution, Frugality, Industry, Sincerity, Justice, Moderation, Cleanliness, Tranquility, Purity and Humility.
