Dear Parents,
Please read the information for the two field trips for all middle school students below. We will be closing the registration dates for both field trips very soon, and we do not want your child to miss out on either opportunity. TEDx Youth Chaperone SignUp!
|
If you would be interested in attending and chaperoning the TEDx Youth event next week, please use the following SignUp Genius form to become a chaperone for the event.
TEDxYouth at MileHigh's second youth event is scheduled from 1-5 p.m., Friday, April 12, at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. It is an ideal education and leadership development opportunity for students in grades 6-12. In a single event, students will be exposed to a dozen big ideas from the state's most brilliant thinkers and accomplished doers. The program challenges audience members to think critically about their lives, communities and own leadership and is designed to inspire attendees to be more creative and innovative in their own lives. Topics include education, science, health, technology, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
All middle school students have the privilege to attend the TEDx Youth Event. The cost is $10 to cover transportation. Please sign up by clicking here.

Mission: Our mission is to develop young adults with character like America's founding Renaissance man, Benjamin Franklin: well-read, scientifically curious, and civically engaged. Vision: Our students will excel academically through a challenging, sequenced curriculum that emphasizes math, science, and literacy. We will be a data driven institution, focusing on individual students. Our students, teachers, parents, staff, and leaders will be held accountable for the success of our school. Finally, we recognize that an education is incomplete without fostering the arts, sports, nature, and character.
Ben Franklin Academy's 13 Virtues: Temperance, Silence, Order, Resolution, Frugality, Industry, Sincerity, Justice, Moderation, Cleanliness, Tranquility, Purity and Humility.
