Dear Preschool Families,
I am sure you have heard about our new playground! The children have had so much fun playing on the new equipment. The additional equipment opens a variety of activities to promote physical development.
Another new experience for your child is computer lab! Each class has a designated time in the computer lab each week for 20 minutes. They develop awareness on how computers work while developing their creativity, math, literacy and science skills through ABCmouse.com.

Classroom Highlights
Here are a few highlights:
- Mrs. Furnier's class has been busy learning about manners. To encourage the children to practice, she has created a manner tree. Each child has a handprint with his/her name on it, and every time they are caught using nice manners, they receive a sticker!
- Mrs. Olson's class has been busy in the mail room. The writing center has been transformed into a post office. The children have been practicing their writing skills and learning about the steps it takes to get mail from one location to another.
- Mrs. Spurgeon's class has been exploring the parts of the plant. They discussed how roots are like a straw to help the plant get the nutrition it needs. They also are learning about living and non-living things and what living things need to grow.
I will always post a few different activities, but please check your teacher's web page for more detailed information. Each page is password protected to enable us to post pictures for you to view. Please do not share the password with any people outside of the class. You can obtain the password through your child's teacher.

Preschool Enrollment
Preschool enrollment will open to non-preschool Ben Franklin Academy families on Saturday, Dec. 1. If you have not yet registered, please do so by tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 30. Registration will open to the public on Monday, Jan. 7.

- T/TH class: Thursday, Dec. 20
- AM classes: 11:30 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
- PM classes: 2:30-3:20 p.m.
- M/W/F class: Friday, Dec. 21
- AM classes: 11:30 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
- PM classes: 2:30-3:20 p.m.
