We are told that to avoid asking the question... "did that work for you?" leads to all sorts of problems with repeat business.
PMA believes the "feedback cards" the audience completed, and we collected, after each 2012 PMA Digital Conference session, are the true test as to whether we met your expectations.
The following sample makes for interesting reading:
Tony Hewitt "looking from the inside out"
100% excellent or good
Gary Lamb/John Swainston "retail global trends today" 100% excellent or good
Campbell Wilson "managing your web content"
100% excellent or good
Darren Vowles "The digital on line space"
100% excellent or good
Mike Walsh "digital futures"
100% excellent or good
AJ Riebli "digital storytelling"
100% excellent or good
Chris Wilkinson Chairperson "competing on line ..panel" 100% excellent or good"
Paul Atkins,Michael Warshall,Phil Gresham,Glynn Lavender,David Warwick,Peter Butler, the entire PSPA (school photographers conference),and the PPFA (picture framers) conference all scored over 83% "excellent or good"
These results were very encouraging and a big "thank you" goes to all our volunteer presenters and chairpersons, as well as IDEA who sponsored the Key Note sessions for the first time.
It was also pleasing to see that the steady decline in conference registrations seemed to have been arrested this year, with very similar numbers to Sydney last year.
Comments made on the feedback forms continue to be reviewed however a couple were repeated ( my comments in italics):
"can we avoid concurrent sessions?" (Not easy, as conference has been condensed, however have noted).
" Can speakers provide summary notes?"(most speakers were willing to provide details by email if requested)
Look forward to seeing you next September in Melbourne!
Kind regards,
Peter Rose
