Seasonally consistent!  August is always that time of year when the market takes a breath and this is exactly what we are experiencing.  All normal behavior; inconsistent activity, lower attendance at open houses, fewer new homes coming to market, real estate professionals taking their holidays and families getting ready for the coming school season.  Fall market begins following the Labor Day weekend at which point activity should increase and continue through to the winter holidays.  

Mortgage rates are maintaining an accommodating position for buyers even as the fed postures for their first rate hike; yet to be seen but highly predicted for the September meeting.

Sellers; those of you participating in the fall market, have your homes in show ready condition and price them right as the buyer pool is very value oriented and does not want to do work.
