CEA and Brophy Community Foundation Scholarship Applications Due April 15!
Please be sure to submit your 2015 - 16 school year scholarship applications to Catholic Education Arizona and/or Brophy Community Foundation by April 15. If you need access to a computer to complete your application or need assistance with this process, please contact the school's Operations Manager, Caroline Panzarella at 480.219.4845 to make arrangements.
Catholic Education Arizona (CEA) Applications
Catholic Education Arizona uses FAIR-Financial Aid Independent Review to process its applications. Please note that there is a $24.00 application fee. The application is available online or you can also download the CEA-FAIR brochure for 2015 - 16. The CEA school code is 700 and the school password is cea700. If you fax your supporting documents to FAIR, be sure to confirm receipt with FAIR. CEA application deadline for round one awards is April 15. Parents will be notified of the disposition of your submitted application by CEA by June 30, 2015.
Brophy Community Foundation Applications
The Brophy Community Foundation applications for financial aid for the 2015 - 16 school year are now available at this link. The Foundation's application deadline is April 15--there is no charge for applications submitted on or before April 15. All families who have received an award previously must re-apply every year. Please note that the Foundation uses FACTS to process their applications. This FACTS grant and financial aid system is different from the tool that SJB uses for our FACTS tuition management. If your family applies for CEA scholarship funds, you are encouraged to consider submitting an online application to the Brophy Community Foundation.

SJB Talent Show
Calling ALL students... come try out for this year's Talent Show on Thursday, May 7 from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. On Monday, April 13, permission slips will be available online and students must go on the Student Council website and print their own permission slip. Below is the schedule as it stands:
- Friday, April 24: Permission Slips will be due to Mrs. Dombrowski
- Tuesday, April 28: Singing tryouts (2D classroom)
- Wednesday, April 29: Instrument tryouts (2D classroom)
- Thursday, April 30: Dance/make-up tryouts (2D classroom)
- Friday, May 1: Results will be posted for which performances make the cut.

VBS Registration Open
Registration is open for the St. Benedict/St. John Bosco Vacation Bible School this summer!
June 15-19, 2015
8am-11am, Monday-Friday Incoming Kindergartners-5th graders (grade for the 2015-2016 school year) $55 for first child, $50 each additional child
During Vacation Bible School, children will Set Sail with the Holy Trinity to learn about our Catholic faith through the eyes of St. Patrick. As we sail through the week, your children will play games, create colorful crafts and enjoy healthy snacks. More importantly, they will experience the beautiful mystery of the Trinity and the amazing ways God shares love with us. Register TODAY!

Yearbook Deadline Has Been Extended
The yearbook deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 22. To buy the yearbook, please go to treering.com/validate and enter the school passcode: 1013434873754555. The yearbook can only be purchased online. We will have NO EXTRAS on yearbook delivery day. You can still do those custom pages up to Monday, April 20. Each purchase of the yearbook comes with two FREE custom pages. If you need help or have any questions about these pages, please do not hesitate to send us an email.

Box Tops - Get Ready for the End of the Year Lunch! Calling all parents, students and teachers... this is the final push of the school year to turn in your saved Box Tops. Ask your neighbors, ask your co-workers, ask your family members for any and all Box Tops! The grade level who turns in the most Box Tops for the entire school year, will win a free dress day along with a delicious catered lunch featuring chicken, mac-n-cheese, potato salad, rolls, salad, dessert, and drinks sponsored by The Mlecko's. We truly appreciate each and every one of you for turning in those Box Tops and could never have reached our goal without your participation and support. This is our way of saying THANK YOU for all you do for our teachers and school. Last year the 5th grade class won the overall competition and enjoyed lunch with Father Bob, Dr. Axman, & Mr. Watson. Who will it be this year? Deadline for turning them in is May 4th, so start bringing them in and good luck to all our teachers and students.

Kino Border Initiative Presentation
On Thursday, April 16 at 7 pm, Pax Christi will be hosting a presentation by Fr. Sean Carroll of the Kino Border Initiative, who will be speaking on the issue of immigration and the humanitarian tenets of dignity for all people. Fr. Carroll and KBI's efforts have even gone so far as to draw the attention of Pope Francis, who wrote a letter in response to the amazing work they are doing. Please join us in the worship space for what is sure to be an eye-opening talk.
