Donation Opportunities for "The Bosco Goes to Broadway"

Do you have a product or service you'd like to donate to this year's Bosco? Do you know a business that would love to promote their products and services while supporting our great school and it's awesome students? The Bosco committee could use your help with donations for the silent auction.

Need some ideas? Think about businesses you frequent most often - Restaurants, Entertainment, Furniture Stores, Salons and Spas, Airlines, Hotels, or even Vacation Homes. No donation is too large or too small.

Or, if you'd like to donate to The Bosco while helping your family, just stop by the Scrip window, purchase Scrip, and donate it to the event. You'll earn Scrip credit toward tuition while helping the students at the same time.

For a limited time from now until March 8, every $30 donation you make will earn you three service hours. Donate now and be part of the future!

Click here for the official Bosco donation letter.

The Bosco "Sunday Brunch and Gift Gathering Party"
What is it?
An "Open House Mimosa Brunch" compliments of the SJB Moms' Club in support of The Bosco Golf and Gala.

What do I need to do?
Respond to the Evite and come relax, eat, drink, and enjoy the fabulous company of your fellow SJB moms.

Do I have to bring anything?
Just bring yourself and your friends! Everything else will be provided.

What about a donation to The Bosco?
This is completely optional; however, if you'd like to contribute to The Bosco auction, please bring a gift card to either Fry's or Basha's. The Bosco committee with gather the gift cards and combine them to help create larger packages for the silent auction.

Do I have to bring a donation?
Abolutely not! This is a voluntary donation only. If you decide to bring a donation, please know that it is tax deductible (you will receive a receipt) and, for this event only, you will receive three bonus service hours for every $25 gift card you donate. As an added incentive, if you purchase the gift card from Scrip, you will also earn tuition credit. That's a win, win, win situation!

Did You Know?

3B students have become dedicated writers and readers this year. So we decided to rewrite one of our favorite songs to inspire others to read more books. This has been a fun project from start to finish. 3B students now know how to use the correct syllables in a song. They also chose what type of pictures they wanted to use for the Green Screen. Then as a class we choreographed the music video. Enjoy! Mrs. Bescak

Save the Date for Family Service Saturday!

Family Service Saturday enables families in our parish to gather, serve,
and reflect on living out our faith during the season of Lent. Multiple hands on service opportunities will be available in the St. John Bosco Multipurpose room so that families of varying ages and abilities can together discover the joy of serving others. The event will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 10 am to 2 pm. Families are encouraged to drop in anytime during the event!

CRS Lenten Rice Bowls

This second week of Lent, CRS Rice Bowl introduces us to Melvin, a coffee farmer from Nicaragua whose coffee plants were affected by a disease. Watch the Story of Hope video  to see how CRS helped Melvin and his family recover their plants and diversify their crops to strengthen their farm for the future. Will your family join Catholics across the US in this week's fast from all beverages except water? Remember to put your savings into your CRS Rice Bowl to change the lives of farmers like Melvin.

Prayer: For farmers around the world who work to improve their harvests while preserving natural resources, that they may support their families through the fruits of the land.  We pray to the Lord.

Activity: Lenten prayer eggs are a fun way to pray this Lent.
