Letter from Dr. Axman

Dear SJB Families,

Last week was a very intense week. Monday's rain resulted in an emergency closure of the school, which brought to the forefront that we need to remind everyone to review the safety procedures. In addition, we had the thirteenth anniversary of September 11 and we were again reminded the importance of having crisis plans in place. That being said, please review this important message.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Watson and Ms. Lara's 5th grade class for turning in the most Box Tops in the first week of school! Those students get to choose a day in September where they get a FREE DRESS DAY. But don't get discouraged - we have a whole year to collect and turn in those Box Tops and Labels for Education. Each teacher has a big, neon green box in their room for kids to collect and turn in their Box Tops. The next big deadline is October 14 for expiring Box Tops. Keep collecting and keep reading for the next grade level competition... A small little hint - it was a big hit with the 5th graders who won it last year, so more information will follow.
