Featured Policy of the Week
|
|
This year, our parent/student handbooks have been combined - you can view the whole handbook online here. Several policies have been updated and new additions made to the handbook. Since there are so many details to remember, we will feature a specific policy in the Bulldog Bite each week. This week's feature is "Dismissal". Some key points to remember:
-
School is dismissed at 3:05 pm, Monday - Thursday and 1:00 pm. on Friday. Parents may park and walk to their child's classroom, or drive through the carpool bay where their child will be called to the curb as their car arrives.
-
Placards with the family name should be placed in the windshield of the car being used for student pickup.
-
Please do not use any other lane or parking lot for drop off or pick up.
-
Students will only be released to the persons with whom the parents have listed on the emergency release form. That person may be required to produce picture ID before the child is released to him/her.
-
All gates, excluding the SW gate (nearest the pre-k playground) are open from 3:05 - 3:20 pm. The MAP (NW) gate is the only gate open after 3:20 pm.
-
Students may ride a bike or walk home with written permission from a parent. Permission must be submitted to the office.
-
Students leaving campus before dismissal must have written permission submitted to the teacher.
-
Cooperation and courtesy is critical to smooth, efficient and safe dismissals.

The Scrip office will be open before and after Curriculum Night on Wednesday and Thursday evening. Our anticipated hours are 5:45 - 6:15 pm and 7:15 - 7:45 pm. If you have a hard time making it to our window during our regular hours, you can stock up this week!
Are you wondering how long it would take you to earn your $100? Are you anxious to get to the 50/50 profit stage? Below is a sample monthly "budget" that will show you just how quickly you can earn your $100 for the school. We bet you spend even MORE than this per month!
- Groceries: $400 per month at 6% back: $24.00 profit
- Gas: $200 per month at 3% back: $6.00 profit
- Starbucks: $40 per month at 5% back: $2.00 profit
- Movie: $50 per month at 9% back: $4.50 profit
- Restaurant of your choice: $100 per month at an average of 10% back: $10 profit
Total for one month: $46.50!! This means that you will be at $100 in about two months, giving you 10 months to earn money off your tuition. Scrip does work. It's great for parents and it's great for the school. Most of all, it's great for our kids!
