This year, our parent/student handbooks have been combined - you can view the whole handbook online here. Several policies have been updated and new additions made to the handbook. Since there are so many details to remember, we will feature a specific policy in the Bulldog Bite each week. This week's feature is "Arrival." Some key points to remember:

  • No students should be on campus before 6:45 am.

  • The main gate does not open until 7:15 am. Students coming before then, enter using the north gate (ESP access).

  • Any student on campus from 6:45 - 7:30 am should be in the MPR

  • No students are permitted on the playground, in the courtyard, classrooms or the library until 7:30 am.

  • All visitors must enter through the front office and sign in and out when leaving.

  • Parents are liable for their child until he/she is signed into ESP.

  • Please do not park on 48th Street and walk across to pick up your child or use any parking lot to drop off or pick up your child. This is not safe.

Did you hear what the Dads' Club did this summer?
This summer, the Dads' Club funded the new parking lot speed bumps, additional eBooks in the library, new PE equipment, a Snack Shack microwave, a wireless/portable score board for athletics and the retaining wall around the playground. And they still had time to get a tan. Nicely done gentlemen!

Volunteer News
Volunteers Needed for Morning Carpool
We need a few adult volunteers for the morning carpool drop-off. By helping out between 7:15 - 7:45 am bell, you will receive a full hour towards your 25 volunteer hours for the school year. The morning carpool helpers make the drop-off safe, help the younger children lift their heavy backpacks, and it's an easy way meet other parents and their children. A number of our volunteers from last year moved on when their children graduated to high school. If you are interested in helping, please send an email to Bill Feil. Even if you can only help out one day a week for a month, the hours are both rewarding and greatly appreciated by all.
