Changes to SJB Uniforms

Beginning with the new school year we will be instituting several changes to our current uniform policy.  The reason for the changes stem from a desire to create a unified look for our school.  As always, we thank you for your support of St. John Bosco Catholic School.

Please carefully review the attached new guidelines before purchasing your uniforms for the 2014-2015 school year.

Click here for a summary of changes.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is pleased to announce their new members: Micah Arnold, Troy Busot and Kelly Rafford.   Jeaneen Thiele was also elected for one year to complete the term of a board member who is moving. There were several applicants and all were wonderful candidates with great experience.

We would like to thank Adriana Brown for her dedication to the Advisory Board and wish her family luck as they move to Japan!  We also would like to thank the 3 members who have completed their term on the board: Jena Gump, Stacy Lykins and Bill Watson.  Their time and years of service are greatly appreciated.  A special thanks goes to Stacy Lykins for her hard work and dedication as Board President.  Please congratulate Stacy as she continues her service to Catholic Education on the Diocesan School Board.  She was just appointed by the Bishop to serve on the board and takes a wealth of experience and knowledge to help our Catholic Schools grow and flourish.  We are so proud of you Stacy!

Collection of slightly used school supplies

CAP will be collecting slightly used school goods for Vista Del Camino center in Scottsdale.  We will be collecting notebooks, folders, book covers, lunch boxes, pens and pencils etc.  Boxes will be placed at the front office, MPR and by the side gate by Ms Whalen's room.  Why throw away what others can use?

Box Top News

The "End-of-the-Year" push for Box Tops winners were the fifth grade class.  They enjoyed a free dress day and lunch on May 22nd, provided by the Mlecko's, which included baked chicken, hot mac-n-cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad, dinner rolls, salad, and cookies.  The kids gobbled it up along with Dr. Axman, Mr. Watson, and Father Bob!  Thank you again for seeing, clipping, and saving those Box Tops.  The competitions will start up again in the fall, so please save those Box Tops and Labels for Education over the summer.

On a side note, if you are an "online shopper," please log onto the Box Tops website at  www.BTFE.com, sign in, and click on the "SHOP AND EARN" tab.  There are over 400 retailers that contribute to our school for Box Tops.  If you are planning a summer vacation and need a hotel room, many of brand name chains also participate, and it's a very easy way to get Box Tops for the school.  Thank you for your support this year and we look forward to kicking it into high gear again in the fall!
