Turn In Your Box Tops
It's the End-of-the-Year push for turning in all Box Tops!  MANY tops expire June 1, 2014, so I will still collect through the month of May if you have any with that expiration date.  The grade level who turns in the most by May 1st for the school year will not only receive another FREE DRESS DAY, but a catered lunch sponsored by the Mlecko's.  It's our way of saying THANK YOU for seeing, clipping, and saving all those Box Tops.  In addition to the check the school received in January for $1925, we are receiving ANOTHER check in the amount of $753.00.  This program would not work if it wasn't for all parents and students participating.  To date, we have collected over 24,000 Box Tops for the 2013-2014 school year.  This community is truly amazing and we are all so blessed to all be a part of this great school!

Athletic News

Congratulations to the 7th / 8th grade Boys baseball team who beat  St. Simon and Jude to win their 4th championship in 4 years. They battled back from being down 5-0 and won 7-5 in six innings.  Outstanding batting performances were: Brett C., Santiago A., Tyler N., Mason L., and Stephen B.  Strong pitching came from Lucas G. and Nick T. Coach Wesley and Coach Brown were so proud of all the boys and their efforts. Way to go Bulldogs!!

Congratulations to the 7th/8th grade Girls Basketball team for placing 3rd in the CYAA tournament two years in a row! The team left it all on the court after an exciting double header  at All Saints School. In the first game, SJB won a hard fought battle against Pope John as they held on to win by one basket! Following a 5 minute water break, SJB took to the court against St. Francis Xavier, leading until the 4th quarter, when they ran out of gas. It was a heartbreaking loss, but the team found happiness with a 3rd Place finish (and nice trophy!) The team celebrated their awesome season last Friday with a pizza party (earned because all players scored at least one basket this season!) GO BULLDOGS!

The PE Department/Athletic Department would like to thank all of our coaches that volunteered  this year for their time and efforts in developing our students athletes.  Without you we would not have a successful program, we really appreciate you!
