Congratulations to Mr. Watson

Mr. Watson was awarded "A Teacher Who Inspires" from a former student of his at St. Agnes Catholic School who is now a student at Bourgade High School.  This freshman student said, "He was just an awesome influence on my life.  He helped me a lot through middle school.  I learned so much from him.  I think he made me into the person I am today and I thank him for that." Way to go, Mr. Watson!
Congratulations Ms. Whalen
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 2013 Recycle Bowl.  St. John Bosco won 3rd Place in the entire state of AZ.  We competed against 92 schools throughout the state and received a check for $150.00!  Awesome recycling to all and thank you to Ms. Whalen for always being so passionate about recycling and helping everyone to be mindful of the planet.
Box Tops News
Our "End-of-the-Year" Box Tops push is on!  Keep collecting and turning in those Box Tops and Labels for Education to your homeroom by MAY 1ST. The grade level who turns in the most by that date will not only win a FREE DRESS DAY,but also a catered lunch that is sure to get the kids talking for the following year!  Also, check your Box Tops expiration dates. There is a HUGE supply of tops that EXPIRE on 6/01/2014.  Even after our contest deadline of May 1st for the most collected Box Tops has ended, I will be collecting those through the end of May and sending them in to get money!  Stop by the courtyard to view a copy of the check that was given to the school in January.  This was our biggest collection EVER because of YOU!  Thank you for "Seeing, Clipping, and Saving" those Box Tops!
Sports Eligibility

The new trimester has begun, all students are eligible for sports.  The next eligibility report will be run on Monday, March 31st.

Moms' Club News 
Please join us for happy hour on Friday, March 28th at 5pm at the Pita Jungle in Chandler on Ray/Dobson. Stop by for a drink and chat with your fellow SJB moms.  We hope to see all of you there! 
Dads' Club News 

Dads' Club Meeting - March 21st

During this month's meeting we will be holding a Cornhole tournament.  The meeting begins at 6:15pm with Cornhole starting at 7:00pm.  To register, email the Dads' Club  with your name(s) and email(s). There is a $10 fee (cash only) for the tournament, payable at the door.

Family Service Saturday
Have you always wanted to serve together as a family, but struggled to find a place where kids are welcome? Come to the 1st Annual Family Service Saturday on March 22nd between 10:00am and 2:00pm in the SJB MPR. Drop in when you can with your kids and participate in hands-on service opportunities. Lenten Longings for Moms and Everybody Else!

Are you looking for something to "Take Up" this Lent?

The Parish of St. Benedict is hosting the Lenten Longings reflection series this year. Join together with others in the SJB/St. Benedict community for six weeks to reflect and discuss the upcoming Sunday's gospel. We will be hosting a Moms' group on Thursday mornings at 8:15am in Room 2 at St. Benedict (just come on over right after drop off). Email information you would like published in the BITE to bulldogbite@sjbosco.org. Include the Monday date(s) you would like the information to run.  Photos and pdf documents may be included in your email.  
Early submission is encouraged.  
Information received after 3 pm on the Wednesday before the Monday publication will run the following week.
