Special Persons' Day - Friday, January 31

An annual tradition at St. John Bosco, Special Persons' Day is a day set-aside during Catholic Schools Week where we open up our campus to special people in your student's life.  It is designed for the special people in your child's life that wouldn't normally have an opportunity to be on campus - grandparents, godparents, a special aunt or uncle, close family friend, etc.  During their time here on campus they will get a bird's eye view of what our students are learning and doing on a daily basis and what makes St. John Bosco and Catholic education so special.

Teachers are very sensitive to students who may not have someone to visit and make sure those students are included in a very real way.

Please follow this link to provide contact information for your student's special person. They will be sent an invitation via email with all of the details of the event.

Partners' Breakfast 2014

Bob will also give us all a glimpse into all the great things that lie ahead for our community and the vital role you play in the success of our school.  This is a FREE event, all are welcome!
Making SJB Tuition Affordable
Thursday, January 16 at 6:30 pm in the School Library

Choosing to send one's child to a Catholic school is a decision that parents don't usually make lightly.  For most it will mean sacrifices in order to afford the tuition.  For some people, no matter how much they change their spending habits, reduce vacations, etc. they simply cannot make it work for their family.  Or, in the case of many families, they can manage to pay for a single child's tuition, but once they have 2 or more in school, they find the financial burden too much and move their children to a public school.  There are options for families!

Arizona is one of the few states that truly does offer its citizens choice - everyone, regardless of financial circumstances can choose to send their child to a private school by utilizing school tax credits to help reduce the cost of their tuition.

St. John Bosco is proud to host an evening for community parents to come and find out how they can afford a private education for their child.  Join us for our presentation on How to Make Private School Affordable.  It will be held in the library at St. John Bosco beginning at 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014.  Click here to learn more.

Sad News Regarding Benjes Family

Many of us who recall this former SJB family were both shocked and saddened to learn that Mr. Benjes passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Eve.

If you are interested in contributing to a Visa gift card, to be given to Mrs. Benjes, please stop by the front office (prior to Fri. Jan. 24th) where there is a collection envelope.  Please include your family name on the donation so we can note it on a sympathy card, which will accompany the gift.

Above all, please keep the family in your prayers as they struggle to come to terms with their untimely loss.
