Dear SJB Families,
We had a fabulous speaker, Detective Tami Gray from the Chandler Police Department on internet safety last week. I hope you were able to attend. If you missed it, please visit www.NetSmartz.org for information on how to keep your children safe online. In conjunction with that we started Red Ribbon Week. The students have been learning about the dangers of drug and alcohol use. Talk to your children at home as it is never too early to open the lines of communication.
This Friday is a Holy Day of Obligation, All Saints Day. Please join us for Mass at 9:00 or noon.
Blessings,
Dr. Marie Axman, Principal

Morning Carpool Volunteers Needed
The morning carpool team needs a few parent volunteers to help out for a ½ hour between 7:15am-7:45am or 7:30am-8:00am. Two adults makes the job easy, and you will get a full hour of volunteer time. If you help out most mornings, it's easy to complete your service hours. In addition to helping kids out of their car in the morning, it's a good way to meet other parents and a way to get to know the great kids attending Saint John Bosco. The carpool volunteers also help by passing out flyers for upcoming events. For more information contact Bill Feil at bfeilaz@hotmail.com or just show up at the morning drop off.

Website Help Needed We are in need of a volunteer to assist with the SJB website. A working understanding of WordPress is needed. Work can be done from home or at school. Please contact Lisa Watson.

Team Karing 4 Karley - 2013 Light the Night Walk for Leukemia We are walking this year in the 2013 Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the Tempe Arts Park on November 9th. The Karing for Karley team is in honor of my daughter, Karley Sichmeller, who was diagnosed with Leukemia on April 8, 2013. Karley just turned 5 and has 2 ½ years of chemo to endure to help her fight this disease. Karley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia which is the most common type among children. She is fighting like a champ and we are hopeful for a cure! We are walking to help support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. When the LLS Light the Night Walk funds treatments that save lives, it's all due to people like you. Without your efforts LLS could not provide these lifesaving treatments. LLS really is making cures happen with your help. Please join our team's effort today by registering to walk or by making a donation. Your participation in the Light the Night Walk will save lives today. Be sure to check our team website frequently to see our progress and make a donation to any team member. Thank you for your support! Go Team Karing 4 Karley!!
