Dear SJB Families, Fall has always been my favorite season. I love the colors and spicy smells and I especially love Halloween. This year my favorite season was made exceptionally enjoyable by all the fun of the Fall Frenzy. What a special event! I want to thank Lisa Watson and Suzanne Percy and all of the numerous individuals who worked so hard to make this a very successful evening. It was so rewarding to see the parish and the school joining together for a very happy October celebration. This Thursday, October 24, starting at 6:30 pm there is an important "Parents Only" Internet Safety evening. The event will be held in the MPR. Detective Tami Gray from the Chandler Police Department will be telling us about the dangers of the Internet and Social Media and how to help our children avoid difficult situations connected with using these enticing ways of communicating. I look forward to seeing you around campus. Blessings, Dr. Marie Axman, Principal

My nine-year old son came home from a sleep over and asked me if he could "Vine" and "Facetime." Since when did the word vine and facetime become verbs? Curious, I asked my 14-year old daughter about Vine. Much like most adult-teenager conversations, not much information was gained. Over the past few months I have learned that "No one emails anymore mom!" and "Facebook is so yesterday!" How is a parent to keep up? How do I keep my kids safe on-line?
Please join us on October 24 at 6:30pm in the library ...for an informative and eye-opening presentation on internet safety and your children. Detective Tami Gray, Chandler Police Department, will be speaking about the three main risks for children online: - Online Predators
- Revealing too much
- Cyberbulling
Think your child is too young for this? Think your child is not involved or participating in this? Think again!
