This Friday, June 7th is the last day of school for the 2012-13 school year. It is exciting, but sad, as we say goodbye to our alumni and friends who are moving on. We will celebrate our last Mass, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Joe will be the celebrant. Don't forget it is a noon (not 1:00 p.m.) dismissal and there is no after school care (MAP) for any grade.
Retreat, Dinner and Promotion this past week was absolutely delightful. We heard over and over again what a nice group of students they are! Of the class of 51 students, 31 applied and accepted to Seton, 4 to Brophy, 11 to Xavier, 3 to Valley Christian, 4 to Desert Vista (with honors) and 1 student is moving out of state. This class brings the alumni total to 463 students. The following Eighth graders received awards:

Often times we can't see the forest for the trees. Here at St. John Bosco, we have a forest of students who are high achievers. St. John Bosco students are well above the norm and represent the highest level of excellence in education.
We had the opportunity to read the reflections the students wrote about their service experiences, and they really understand that they can make a difference in the world. Besides, they have turned out to be really good writers!
Our students are well-educated. Our alumni tell us that our teachers provide the highest level of preparedness, and that the students have everything they need to stand out from their peers in high school.
Socially, these students are good to each other. They know how to be polite and how to make friends. They embrace the opportunities that God gives them to be patient, courageous, to be leaders, and to make a difference.

Two students received the St. John Bosco Award. The charisms of St. John Bosco are ones of Reason, Religion and Kindness.
Reason, in the spirit of Don Bosco, is about using common sense, being self-disciplined, and thinking logically. It is understanding that the harder you work the smarter you get and the luckier you are.
Religion is accepting God's will in your life, learning and applying the Catholic teachings that parents and teachers provide.
Kindness is exhibiting Christian Values, treating others with love, caring and compassion. Congratulations to:
Claire R.
Christopher R.
In recognizing the graciousness, kindness, fidelity, and the power of organization and leadership, we recognize an individual for living the charisms of Saint Benedict. Congratulations to:
