Principal Note
We continue our stewardship through the Rice Bowls campaign from Catholic Relief Services as a way to encounter Jesus through others, especially through the most vulnerable in our world.   Each week, the brochure that comes with the Rice Bowl offers suggestions for your family to become more connected with people in other parts of the world. Don't miss this opportunity to grow as a family while helping other people. If your Rice Bowl didn't make it home, there are still some available at the front office. You may bring your donations in during Holy Week. Please count up all of your change and paper contributions and make a check out to St. John Bosco Catholic School, with Rice Bowl in the memo line.

Wednesday this week is PreK - 4 Science Fair, an opportunity for the younger students to showcase some of the recent work in their classrooms. Additionally, PTO has invited representatives from different organizations to visit that evening to share Summer Opportunities.  St. John Bosco Catholic School has negotiated with some outside providers for a couple of summer programs

Terracycle Collection of Juice Pouches by Girl Scout Troop 192 and CAP
Girl Scout Troop 192 is teaming up with CAP to recycle juice pouches such as Capri Sun.  We are collecting juice pouches to send to Terracycle, where they will be made into useful products such as backpacks, handbags and pencil holders.

Please bring in empty juice pouches in plastic bags or ziploc bags and place them in any juice pouch recycling bin.  Collect from meetings, games and other events!  They will be collected at lunchtime as well.  With every juice pouch collected we earn money for the school as well as saving the landfills from more trash.  We'll be keeping track on a juice pouch thermometer and hope to send in over $5,000 pouches by the end of the school year!  If you have any questions, please contact Jane Waypa at jmwaypa@sbcglobal.net.
