CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT MEETING

We would like to welcome any newcomers interested in learning more about CISV to join us this Sunday. Our program delegations are in place and this is the perfect time for you all to meet and get together. It's also a great opportunity for parents to learn more about our chapter and how they can fulfill their volunteer requirements. We look forward to seeing you there!

CALL TO ACTION!
Our Youth Meeting planners are ready to hear from you! There is a lot of work that goes into hosting a CISV program and we need your help. There are big and small ways you can help out. A specific need is for host families.
Please take a look at the opportunities to meet the needs of the delegates who are looking forward to their trip in Pittsburgh. We will be hosting 25 international students, ages 16-18.
Specific emphasis includes:
- Host family Chairperson
- Host family 6/28/16 - 6/30/16
- Host family 7/14/16 - 7/16/16

ANNUAL DAY OF GIVING
What is the Day of Giving?
The Pittsburgh Foundation's Day of Giving is a 16-hour, online giving event created to increase a collective culture of philanthropy in our region. The goal is simple - inspire Western Pennsylvanians to come together, show their pride in their communities, and contribute to support the life-changing work of local nonprofit organizations.
The Day of Giving will take place Tuesday, May 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

CISV USA - NATIONAL MINI CAMP - 2016 
May 27-30, 2016
National Mini Camp (NMC) Registration is closed. If you registered in advance, congratulations! There is a long wait list for those that are hoping to attend.
Our chapter will be needing volunteers to pick up delegates as they arrive in Pittsburgh. If you can help out, please let us know!

ATTENTION DELEGATE FAMILIES 
Each family should have received instructions on filling out all the necessary travel forms. These forms MUST be turned in to Nancy Wolfson before May 15. If you have not received them, please contact her ASAP. Instructions must be followed properly in order to submit to national, so make sure to read through them carefully.

PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE 
The Northeast Ohio Chapter has two positions open for a Step Up to Indonesia next winter. Dates are December 18, 2016 - January 9, 2017.
Delegates must be 14 sometime between November 1 and January 31. Please contact Amy Raslevich for the referral if you are interested!

MAY 27 - CITY OF PITTSBURGH PROCLAMATION "CISV PITTSBURGH DAY"
We are kicking off the National Mini Camp with an official proclamation! William Peduto, Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh, has declared May 27 as "CISV Pittsburgh Day."
We look forward to welcoming everyone from around the USA who is attending and we know it will be a wonderful weekend!

CISV FAMILIES: HELP AJAPO
Donations are being accepted to help refugee families being resettled in Pittsburgh. Items needed include: housewares, furniture, warm clothing, school supplies, and food. Contact AJAPO for more ways to give.
