The JB annual cookie bake is a time honored tradition for CISV chapters all over the world! It's a great chance for adults and juniors to give something back to the community. We get together to bake cookies and donate all our efforts to Light of Life Pantry. There will be CISV energizers, activities, and pizza. All you need to bring is cookie dough for a dozen cookies (no nuts please), and $5 towards the pizza. All JBers and adults are welcome to join us! Please SIGN UP and if you have any questions, contact organizer Drew Klein.

CISV PITTSBURGH DAY - MAY 27, 2016

We have received an official proclamation! William Peduto, Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh, has declared May 27 as "CISV Pittsburgh Day.

It's a wonderful way to kick off the National Mini Camp, which will be taking place that Memorial weekend. It's is also a reminder of the great things we have accomplished here in Pittsburgh.

In recognition of all the hard work done by our all-volunteer organization, we want to thank all of our members who bring CISV principles home to our wonderful city.

YOUTH MEETING 2016 - #SQUADgoals

Our Youth Meeting planners have been hard at work getting things organized for this year's program in Pittsburgh! We have one of the BEST staffs in place, and they are ready to get started!

KIDSBURGH FEATURES CISV PITTSBURGH
March 1, 2016

Kidsburgh, an online resource for local families, featured an article by Emily Stimmel on CISV Pittsburgh. We are proud of our chapter and know you are too. Check it out!

WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK AND ASSISTANCE!

CISV Pittsburgh is always working on ways to improve various activities and systems that help us keep our chapter engaged. Here are a couple of things we need your input on:

  • The chapter is looking for a new site to hold our pasta dinner next November. If you have any recommendations or ideas for a site that can hold at least 150 people, and you have some time to check it out, please contact Lisa Jordan.
  • We are currently building a new website and we would like your input on the contents. Please take a moment to fill out a very short SURVEY to give us your thoughts on how you would like to use a new site.
  • In case you haven't heard, we are hosting this year's NATIONAL MINI CAMP over Memorial weekend, May 27-30. There is a staff of 6 arriving on Thursday, May 26 and we need a HOST FAMILY. If you have space to host 6 for one evening, please contact Jennifer Burns.

SUMMER PICNIC DATES

Each summer, we come together for fun, casual, potluck picnics. Mark your calendar to join us as we celebrate another successful year of programs, and to send off/welcome back our delegations. We will be meeting at the David L. Lawrence shelter in Schenley Park (map)

BON VOYAGE PICNIC - June 12, 2016

inTHANKS
We want to dig deep and really appreciate all the volunteers who made up our 2016 Selection Committee. It is a very challenging task to go through all the paperwork, interviews, and selection of this year's applicants. Thank you for all your time and efforts!

Thank you to our RMC adult chaperones and drivers, Megan Zeni, Ali Pabrinkis and Nancy Golio! We appreciate all the time and effort you put into planning, driving, organizing, and supervising. You are the best! A "SHOUT OUT" to Nonie Heystek for all the help in coordinating the passenger van...you're an awesome cat herder!
