Dear Chapter Members,
Since 1989, CISV Pittsburgh has had many volunteers who have worked diligently to ensure that local youth have a chance to learn from CISV's peace educational programs and develop friendships internationally. Allowing our children to travel to programs is only a part of what we do. We are also required to reciprocate by hosting local programs, so that children around the world can have similar experiences here in Pittsburgh. Vital board positions are open for the 2014-15 season and our all-volunteer organization needs your help! Please consider a role in your chapter, to ensure that CISV Pittsburgh continues to grow and thrive for another 25 years!

October 10-12, 2014 Cincinnati, Ohio Educational Conference
The CISV USA annual conference will be attended by 300-500 individuals from 21 chapters across the United States. This year's theme is Diversity. CISV PIttsburgh will be represented by Dighan Kelly, Charlie Wolfson, Max Rogow, Drew Klein, Amy Raslevich and Jennifer Burns.

JB EAST-MIDWEST
REGIONAL SERVICE PROJECT (RSP)
Saturday, November 1, 2014
The four chapters that make up the EMW Region host regular local events to educate and inspire their members. RSP will be focused on volunteering with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank at their distribution event called Produce to People. We will be volunteering and fundraising to help individuals or families below the poverty line. Over the course of the weekend participants will gain an appreciation for the conditions of and sociological reasons for poverty as well as serving the community.

PEACE ONE DAY
Thank you to JB and parents who attended activities on International Peace Day! A great BIG thank you to Peyton Klein! Her Bat Mitzvah project raised almost $1300 for the JB! We made some new friends at Sacred Heart in Shadyside and gave away FREE HUGS in Market Square!
